'From Indiana Jones to Pirates of the Caribbean - The Life of an Archaeologist'
To celebrate this year's Festival of Archaeology, Axminster Heritage Centre are hosting a special talk by Centre Manager, Nigel Sadler.
Come and learn about Nigel's experience as a field archaeologist over the last 40 years working in the Near East, United Kingdom and the Caribbean.
Join us as Nigel recounts his experiences as an archaeologist since 1983, and how he has combined his work in museums since 1992 with archaeological work. Come and listen to his early years working in the deserts in the Near East, working in the UK in the late 1980s and 1990s and then his time in the Caribbean where he not only recovered a major stolen artefact but also worked on finding and excavating a ship carrying enslaved Africans when it sank.
