Huge congratulations to the Lyme Regis Bowling Club Ladies who have won the June Culpin trophy against Blandford.

The team were: Ann Allman, Lesley Broom, Nicky Driscoll, Mary Haseman, Chris Pomeroy, Angela Rattenbury, Sue Rowe, Erica Sarson and Pam Weech. The overall victory was by eight shots.

DISAPPOINTMENT for Lyme Regis Bowling Club in the National Mixed 2 rinks as they went down to Somerset's Purnells BC on both rinks. It turned out that Somerset's best was better than Dorset's best on the day. Still, this was a valiant effort by the Lyme 8 to get this far.

The championship side weren't in action for the men but Lyme 2 had a superb 10-0 win against Wellworthy.

Successful week for Lyme bowlers

Paul Moffitt, Steve Pomeroy, Barry Rattenbury and skip Paul Pomeroy, winners the Dorset Mens' 4s

IT's been a great week for Lyme Regis Bowling Club. Firstly, two teams of mixed fours, playing for the Tony Allcock trophy, won their area final against Gillingham and now go on to play Somerset's best in the next round.

The two teams were: Alan and Trevor Allman with Pam and Allan Weech  and Barry and Nicky Driscoll With Pauline Knight and Paul Moffitt. Paul Moffitt's rink managed to win by 12 shots whilst Allan Weech's rink went down by two, giving the team a 10-shot win overall, a truly great team effort.

Rattenbury wins the Pellman Cup

ONLY Lyme Regis Bowling Club Ladies  managed a league game last week as the Championship side had a free week whilst the League Two game was cancelled with the likelihood of being washed out.

The Ladies went down 2-8 to Greenhill despite early showing that they may have been able to win.
