Teams competing in this cut-short cricket season, caused by covid-19, are now half way through the mini-league stage , organised by the Devon Cricket League, with three games played.

Nun News is offering a £125 cash prize for the batsmen who scores the most runs and the bowler who take the most wickets during the six game league programme for the clubs the Axminster and Seaton area: Seaton 1sts, Seaton 2nds, Axminster, Kilmington, Uplyme & Lyme Regis and Chardstock.

Week Two of the Devon Cricket Mini-League fixtures

In-form UPYME & LYME REGIS batsman Tyler Wellman claimed his place in local cricketing folklore on Saturday when he hit his second successive undefeated century.

Tyler hit his third ton for Uplyme last week when he smashed the 100th run off the last ball of the innings in the first Devon Mini-League match at home to Ottery St Mary 2nds. And in the second, away to AXMINSTER, he did it again, carrying his bat for 102 not out, a swashbuckling innings which included 16 fours.
