Axminster's Yarty Party music festival will return this summer having been called off last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Residents and visitors to Axminster can look forward to a three-day programme of live music and entertainment for the whole family.

The event will be held over the weekend of Friday, July 16 to Sunday, July 18 at Axminster Showground on Trafalgar Way.

Having first been staged in 2017, the Yarty Party enjoyed sell-out successes in its first three years before having to be called off in 2020.

Organisers say this year's event will make 2021 "a year to remember", as they strive to change the face of independent festival culture and deliver a unique family-friendly festival.

The Yarty Party will be jam-packed with live music, DJs, entertainment and the best food the South West has to offer, along with a fully-stocked bar and cocktail bar.

The Big Top Wizard Stage will offer a huge selection of different genres of music, including bands, solo artists and other entertainment, while more than 25 DJs from a cross the South West and beyond will appear on The Dave stage.

There will also be a programme of amazing acoustic sets at The Busk Stop.

And there will be plenty to keep the kids entertained too, with free entry for under fives and plenty of free workshops to take part in.

Camping is available on the Friday and Saturday night, with campers and caravans welcome.

All glamping tents are sold out already, but you can hire a private portaloo!

No dogs are allowed on site except guide dogs.

Tickets purchased for last year's festival will still be valid, meaning there is only a limited number of tickets still available - so don't delay, book your tickets today via the festival website.
