Axminster Town Council has approved a grant of £1,000 for Nourish which provides free meals for those struggling within the Axminster Community.

The service was launched by Karen Taylor who is currently operating from the kitchen facilities at Axminster Guildhall which is owned by the town council.

The grant was unanimously agreed by councillors at their monthly Zoom meeting on Monday.

Karen founded Nourish in 2019 and was already up and running when COVID-19 struck. Since then her efforts have been widely appreciated and she also received a grant of £1,500 from the town council last year.
