Millers Farm Shop in Kilmington, near Axminster, is bringing some festive cheer to customers having opened its Christmas Room.

The popular farm shop opens a dedicated room for all things Christmas every year but manager Olivia Miller said that staff had made an effort this year to make it even more special at a time when some festive joy was much-needed.

The room is packed full of unique Christmas decorations, luxury food items and gifts, creating the perfect place to stock up for the festive season or find that special present.

"We wanted to create a magical where customers could come, escape and forget about everything else that's going on at the moment," said Olivia.

The Christmas Room has so far received a great response from customers, with many keen to get into the festive spirit early after a challenging year.

Classed as an essential business, Millers Farm Shop has been able to stay open throughout the coronavirus pandemic and has been well-supported by the local community as residents focus more on the 'shop local' ethos.

The shop is known as an 'Aladdin's Cave' of the finest local produce, including homegrown fruit and vegetables, locally-sourced fish and meat, dairy products, breads, pastries, wines, beers and other drinks, as well as a selection of products regularly brought over from France by owners Malcolm and Angela Miller when they are able to make the trip across the Channel.

The business also boasts a popular cafe, currently closed during lockdown, and outlets for Busy Bee Florist and Lyme Bay Fish Shack.
