Axminster charity Project Food has received £500 from the Local Giving and Postcode Local Trust, a grant-giving charity funded by players of the People's Postcode Lottery.

The funding boost will enable Project Food, previously known as HALFF, to provide fruit and veg boxes and online cookery classes for those struggling with their mental health to enable them to maintain a healthy diet.

Charity director Tiggy Parry said: "We would like to thank Local Giving and Postcode Local Trust for the kind donation to Project Food.

"We have been supporting those struggling with their mental health to transform their lives and develop skills needed to cook and eat homemade fresh food.

"We will continue long term support for people to gain confidence so that they can prepare balanced and nutritious meals and so improve their health".
