Axminster Nub News: Why this online local newspaper is the one for you

28th Oct 2020 | Local News

Axminster Nub News wants to put our wonderful area straight into your pocket.

We do this by providing quality local news, updates on local business, what's on, property, and much more.

What makes Axminster Nub News different from other news sites?

We're an online newspaper like no other. For one, we don't rely on google ads or pop up surveys, so you can trust there will never be any clickbait or disrupted reading.

Axminster Nub News and the fifty-plus other Nub News sites around the country want to bring local news back to local.

Nub News has recently expanded its coverage of the Devon area and, as well as Axminster, currently has websites covering Seaton, Honiton, Sidmouth, Exmouth, Cullompton and Dawlish.

On each site, you'll only find information and content about things that are relevant to your area - we promise you that.

We also understand that bad news must be reported on, but Nub News revels in feel-good stories. Who doesn't want to read about the positive things around our area?

Get involved, get writing, get promoting!

This online newspaper is different as we want to constantly hear from YOU.

Using our Nub It button on our homepage you can write a story for the community or upload an event you want to promote.

All content is professionally reviewed by our editors, Philip and Francesca Evans, and then published to a rapidly growing Axminster audience.

Supporting our area is at the heart of what we do

If you know of a business or charity that would like an article written about them, get in touch!

We are completely open 24/7 to chat about something you feel we should cover - if it benefits our community, you can be sure we will report it!

We have a FREE business directory that you can sign yourself up to. We will then share your business around social media, feature you in articles, and support you in every way we can!

You can also get in touch with your news and events by calling Francesca on 07810 221 420 or Philip on 07796 951 991, or by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].

Since we launched (in numbers)

Since launching five months ago, we've amassed more than 21,000 readers and over 78,000 page views.

We've written almost 300 news stories about the subjects that matter to our community - everything from how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting the local area to new shop openings and your fundraisers and events - plus more than 100 sports articles on our dedicated Sports Portal, bringing you unrivalled coverage of sport from across the Axe Valley.

We have gained more than 600 likes on our Facebook page and we have just reached 200 followers on Twitter! Please follow us on social media and share with your friends to help us reach even more of the local community.

Thank you for reading and for all of your support so far!
