Millwey Rise 2nd X1 won their latest pre-season friendly against Farway 2nds with a 9-1 scoreline (writes Dick Sturch).

The match was played in good spirits despite the winning margin.

The Millwey scorers were the returning Zak Meaker (2), Bailey Hall (2), long serving players Wayne Jenkins (2) and Mark Pike (1), Robin Brown (1) and a Farway own goal.

The coming season looks like it's going to provide a lot of competition for places in both the first and second teams.

A new Devon and Exeter League structure has been introduced for one season only due to covid-19. Millwey 1sts will compete in Division 2 East alongside the newly formed Axminster Reserves.

Millwey 2nds will play in Division 4 East.
