It's day two of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend and celebrations are now in full swing in Axminster.

We'll be bringing you daily updates with a list of what's on in Axminster every morning over the four-day Bank Holiday weekend, and look out for our round-up of the day's events in the evenings.

Today, events will include a Jubilee High Tea and the recently renovated Railway Kitchen at Axminster Station from 3pm.

Axminster Football Club will host bingo this evening from 6pm, while a virtual race night will be held at The Castle Inn from 7.30pm and booking for this event is essential.

There will also be live music, a buffet, raffle and quiz at Axminster Conservative Club from 8pm.

Set to be one of the highlights of the jubilee weekend, the lighting of the brazier will be held on the Minster Green at 8.15pm this evening, followed by a toast to Her Majesty at 9pm.

The Nub News team will be attending as many Platinum Jubilee events as possible over the four-day weekend, but unfortunately we cannot get to everything. Please send your jubilee photos to [email protected] for inclusion in our jubilee coverage!
