Axminster Repair Cafe will be open this weekend

Axminster Repair Café's team of volunteers are back this Saturday (July 1) to offer their range of repair skills to local residents with damaged or non-working household items.

If it is repairable that saves people buying from new - and also helps reduce unnecessary waste from going to landfill.

Available from 10am to 1pm in Axminster's Guildhall, repairers will be ready for the challenge of getting appliances, toys, clothes, gardening tools, and more, back into working order or a usable condition.

Visitors are asked to register their item at the reception desk inside the Guildhall on arrival, and will then be put in the queue for the next available repairer.

While waiting to see a repairer or, having their item looked at, visitors are welcome to enjoy a hot or cold drink, homemade cakes, biscuits, and, sometimes, bacon rolls, which are all provided by friendly volunteers.

Please note, there is no Repair Café session in August, due to holidays, so the next session will take place on Saturday, September 2.
