Axminster Town Council is now up to its full operational number of 15 councillors

The Mayor of Axminster, Cllr Jill Farrow, has announced that three new councillors have been co-opted onto the town council.

The co-option of three new members bring Axminster Town Council up to full complement, after only 12 candidates stood for 15 available seats during the local elections in May.

The mayor expressed her happiness that the council was back up to its full operational membership of 15 councillors, as she said this ensured that all decisions were made by a wide cross-section of the Axminster community, with the newest members bringing a broad range of additional skills and experiences to this authority.
