Axminster Town cemented their fifth position in the South West Peninsular Premier East division with an excellent 4-1 victory over Torridgeside at Tiger Way last evening.

Top scorer Craig Veal added two goals to his total for the season, now 16, and Joe Chambers and Danny Bailey also got on the scoresheet.

Sidmouth Town moved into sixth place with a 3-1 win over Cullompton Rangers. The Tigers have a three-point advantage over the Vikings with four games in hand.

This Saturday, Axe will have the chance to strengthen their position further with a home game against Elburton Villa, who are 15th in the table, having won five of their 25 games (kick-off 3m).
