With no first team game, all eyes were on a crucial game in Division Three of the Perry Street League withUplyme Reserves' needing a vital win at home to favourites Barrington.

The game started well, with James Souter pouncing on a poor goal kick and sliding under the keeper to take the lead. However, true to form, Barrington piled on the pressure and scored two quick goals to go into half-time 2-1 up.

The young Swallows knuckled down and worked hard up the slope, and Stephen Condell smashed home from a tight angle to level the game. ]

The away side saw a rash of yellows and a red card, which swung the game's momentum. Uplyme made a tactical change going into the final minutes, chasing the win, and Matt Rowe's driven cross saw James Souter rise brilliantly above everyone and guide an unstoppable header past the despairing dive of the keeper.

The final whistle blew on a brilliant performance, and now Uplyme go into their final game against third placed Chard United A needing a win to take the Division Three title.

Two goals and a powerhouse performance got Souter the man-of-the match nod, but the whole team worked brilliantly to come out on top against a team full of solid veterans with plenty of experience.
