The Tigers fielded four new players for this game - and didn't they do well?

On a wet pitch both teams struggled to get through on goal with some great defensive work from Ollie Wells helping end the first half at 0-0, not before a disallowed goal from Finn Lampey after a great cross from Alex Graves.

Second half Tigers brightened up and got the ball forward quicker, resulting in the first goal with a great reverse pass from Ollie Gabb putting Theo Dibling into a shooting position to score.

Axe started to press much better and didn't allow Ottery out of their own area for long periods. Goal number two didn't take long to come from the exceptional Ollie Gabb who put away a great pull-back from Theo Dibling to return the favour.

Ruben Baluch was running the midfield most of the game, spreading play superbly, and the final goal came from Ollie Gabs again after a great cross from winger Finn Lampey which was volleyed home expertly.

Jake Macmaus and Isaac Poole were once again solid at the back, George Manning was superb in the sweeper -keeper role and new players Noa Bailey worked hard. Ronnie Wenn showed good promise, Jamie Frankilin had a solid game but young Ollie Wells got man-of-the match for his tough tackling never-say-die attitude.
