With a few players missing, Axminster Reserves travelled to Cranbrook and started well on a tricky surface.
The conditions made it hard to play football and with the constant threat from a strong targetman and a very affective kick from the keeper, Axe were happy to get their noses in front 13 minutes in with a goal from great build-up finished of by Jamie Barfoot.
The lead was doubled through a header from a set piece by Tom Edwards.
The second half saw further goals from Sam Winslade and Mark Tucker put the game beyond doubt with a consolation goal coming late on for Cranbrook.
The Tigers second string retain their top spot in Devon and Exeter Division Two East but have a tough January ahead with games against second placed Ottery St Mary 2nd and local rivals Millwey Rise.
Their next game, however, is away to Sidmouth 3rds on January 2nd.
