A DIVISION

Although they lost their last game of the season by three wickets, picking up five points from their home match against Budleigh Salterton was enough to keep Seaton in the A Division.

Budleigh won the toss and put their hosts into bat, bowling them out for 126 in 43 overs.

Top run-makers for Seaton were the ever reliable Robbie Prior (35) and last man Joe Berry, who was undefeated on 30 when the last wicket fell.

In reply, Budleigh hit 127 with three wickets standing off 32 overs. The wickets were shared around the Seaton attack with Mali Marshall, Robbie Prior and Joe Berry all claiming two victims each.

This has not been Seaton's most successful season, losing ten of their 18 games, but they managed to climb out of the relegation zone to fight another day.

Seaton 5 points, Budleigh Salterton 127 points.

B DIVISION

Kilmington completed their season with a five-wicket win over Heathcoat 2nd X1, finishing as runners-up and winning promotion to the A Division next season.

Having won the toss, Kilmington put their visitors into bat and found opener Dylan Penberthy is sublime form, hitting 118 runs off 119 balls before he was dismissed by a Matt Reed catch off Brett Garner's bowling. James Onley-Gregson also batted well for his 83 in Heathcoat's score of 232-8.

Oliver Reed (4 for 29) and Brett Garner (3 for 39) shared the bowling honours for Kilmington.

In reply, Kilmington knocked off the required runs in 35 overs, losing five wickets on the way, with openers Tom Gooding (66) and a glorious century from Matt Rockett leading from the front.

Kilmington 19 points, Heathcote 2nd X1 7 points.

D DIVISION EAST

Although they never had a game for the last three weeks, Uplyme and Lyme Regis still finished in the runners-up spot and get promotion to Division C next season. Uplyme finished equal on points with the division winners, Alphington and Countess Wear, who had a better average.

Chardstock finished seventh in the ten-strong division, losing their last game by eight wickets away to Kentisbeare.

In running up a score of 248, Richard Pyman (74) was Kilmington's top scorer with good support coming from Gary Larcombe (54), Steve Allsopp (42) and Robbie Hutchings 39.

Kenisbeare knocked off the required runs with consummate ease, wicketkeeper Scott Chappell posting a 106-century and opener Paul Tatterton hitting 82.

Kentisbeare 20 points, Chardstock 6 points.

E DIVISION EAST

Axminster Town had a dismal season, winning only one game, but veteran captain Paul Miller kept the spirits high despite the prospect of demotion to F Division East next season.

At home to old foes Honiton in their last game, Axe were all out for 143, chasing 257. Michael Docherty (83) and opener Willy Graham (66) did most of the damage for Honion. Alex Wraight, with figures of 3 for 18 off nine overs, was Axminster's best bowler. Matt Cheney (39) was the only Axminster batter that troubled the bowlers.

Axminster 8 points, Honiton 20 points.

F DIVISION EAST

Seaton 2nd X1 travelled to Braunton for their last game of the season and, having won the toss and electing to field, found themselves having to chase 371.

The Seaton bowlers were faced with the daunting task of trying to dislodge the division leaders'openers who scored 169 and 159 in their total of 371 for the loss of just one wicket.

The Seaton second string made a brave attempt but there was no realistic chance of finishing their season against such a total. After 40 overs they had totalled 238 for the loss of five wickets with David Turner top scoring on 55 and other useful contributions from Thomas Brown (43) and Jack Dormer (33).

Seaton finished second from bottom and will be demoted to the G Division East next season.

Braunton 17 points, Seaton 2nd X15 points.

G DIVISION WEST

Axminster Town 2nd X1, who finished bottom of the table, conceded their game away to Culmstock and were deducted 10 points
