A DIVISION

Seaton lifted themselves out of relegation danger with a comfortable 127-run victory over bottom placed Cullompton.

The home side won the toss and put Seaton into bat, a decision they may have regretted as they ran up a score of 257-9 off 50 overs. They did not get off to a very auspicious start, however, with the score at 52-3 at one time but Joel Seward 50) and Damien Baker (47) steadied the ship, with useful contributions also from Mali Marshall (33 not out), Ben Morgan (25) and Raoul East (21) and steered them towards a total that Cullompton were unlikely to reach.

They found bowler Robbie Prior in uncompromising form, taking four wickets for the loss of just ten runs in 5.4 overs. Raoul East also bowled well, finishing with figures of 4 for 38 off seven overs as Cullompton struggled to 130 all out.

With seven games left to play, Seaton are now four places off the bottom with 102 points.

Cullompton 6 points, Seaton 20 points.

D DIVISION EAST

Uplyme and Lyme Regis rediscovered their batting form with an 86-run victory and maximum points away to Clyst Hydon.

The victory keeps them in third place in the Division D East, but they are narrowing the gap with the front runners Alphington and Countess Weir (top with 174 points) and North Devon (second with 155 points).

Uplyme are now just five points behind North Devon and they still have eight games to play.

Uplyme won the toss and elected to bat with the opening four batsmen all contributing runs. Top scorer was Tyler Wellman, who carried his bat for 77, and good support came from Mark Batey (36), Harvey Brimicombe (33) and Andrew Harrison (27) in Uplyme's total of 215 for 4.

With the exception of opener Ian Sutton (77), the home team struggled for runs and were all out for 129. Jack Lamb-Wilson (4-29) and Andrew Harrison (3-21) were the pick of the Uplyme bowlers.
