All Weekend: St George's Day Celebrations
The Castle Inn in Axminster will be going all out to celebrate St George's Day this weekend, with a British favourite curry night and quiz on Friday, April 21 from 8pm, all-day breakfast on Saturday, April 22 followed by a night of British music including Queen, The Beatles and The Sex Pistols, and traditional roast beef served on Sunday, April 23 followed by a town crier competition at 5pm.
Friday: Philip Clouts and Rob Phelan
The Community Waffle House in Axminster welcomes Lyme Regis-based pianist Philip Clouts and bassist Rob Phelan for a night of original melodic jazz! The event is free but make sure to book by emailing [email protected] if you want a table, or just turn up for standing room.
Saturday: The Amazing Blues Brothers
Get your hats and sunglasses, The Amazing Blues Brothers are coming to Axminster! This four-piece have played all over the world, recreating the magic of The Blues Brothers and their next stop is the Guildhall on Saturday, April 22.
Sunday: Quiz Night
Axminster Guildhall usually hosts its quiz night on the last Sunday of every month at 7pm, but this month's has been brought forward a week. Questions will cover sport, science, history, facts, movies, TV and special questions. There is no need to book, just pop along!
