Friday: Live music with Hamish Balfour 

The Community waffle House in Axminster welcomes pianist, drummer, composer and producer Hamish Balfour on Friday, march 17. He should be a recognisable face to jazz fans, as he has performed and recorded alongside American jazz drumming legend Harvey Mason, Tenderlonious, The Temptations, Odyssey, Faze Action, Yolanda Charles' Project PH, Bassically, Nim Quartet and Yam Who.

Saturday: Every Brilliant Thing

'Every Brilliant Thing' is an award-winning play by Duncan Macmillan, to be performed by Philip Robinson of the Living Room Theatre Co. at 7.30pm in Membury Village hall on Saturday, March 18.

Tickets cost £12 or £20 with supper.

Learn a new skill or brush up on your sewing at this workshop hosted by Axminster Heritage Centre on Saturday, March 18. Learn how to use your machine, choosing fabric, cutting out correctly, etc.
