You're seven years old. Mums in hospital.
Dad says, 'she's done something stupid'.
She finds it hard to be happy.
You start a list of everything that's brilliant about the world.
Everything worth living for. You leave it on her pillow.
You know she's read it because she's corrected your spelling.
Audience feedback from Philip's recent performance of the play:
"Although the play dealt with serious themes it was, at its heart, a celebration of what makes life worth living. To have shared that experience in my village hall, with my community, was such a pleasure and a privilege... Watching 'Every Brilliant Thing' certainly helped bring and bind us together and share some laughter too. The village is still buzzing with it. What a joy!"
