Plastic Free Axminster is delighted that the town's library has become a community ally.

This means that Axminster Library has pledged to support Plastic Free Axminster's aims, by working to reduce single-use plastic on the premises, displaying information leaflets for us raise awareness of the environmental hazards caused by single-use plastic, and hosting events for such as book readings with craft activities for children.

Plastic Free Axminster will be at Axminster Library on Thursday, December 9 from 10am to 12noon to answer questions and offer advice on how you can make simple swaps in your lifestyle to reduce/eliminate the need for single-use plastic.

This will include a template for you to conduct an audit of your household's plastic waste for a week - if you are brave enough!

If you would like to volunteer with Plastic Free Axminster in any way, or have any skills which you feel may be useful, pop in and speak to volunteers.
