Meet Axminster Nub News editor to share your stories and events at Community Waffle House

The Axminster and Seaton Nub News websites were launched in May 2020 amid the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

Since then we have successfully built up a firm readership and social media following, and developed relationships with local organisations, groups and individuals who regularly contribute to our online content.

But having been in and out of national lockdowns since we first launched, the Nub News team has been restricted on attending events and getting out and about in the local community as much as we would like.

With COVID restrictions now lifted, we are keen to meet more of our readers and contributors face-to-face.

That's why Axminster and Seaton Nub News editor Francesca Evans will be based at Axminster's Community Waffle House on a fortnightly basis, where you will be able to join her for a chat, share your local news stories and upcoming events, or discuss advertising opportunities.

For those less familiar with Nub News, Francesca will even talk you through how to find and use the Nub News websites on your computer, tablet or smartphone, how to sign up to our free weekly newsletter, or how to submit your own content online – including news articles, events or local business listings.

Francesca previously teamed up with the Waffle House in March 2021 when she was a guest for their Community Hot Seat video, discussing her career in journalism and why the local community is so important to her – you can watch the video in full above.

Now you will be able to find Francesca in the 'Waffle Work' area of the Community Waffle House at Trinity House, Axminster, every other Thursday – starting from Thursday, September 9 from 1pm to 5pm.

If you have a news story or event to share, want to discuss advertising opportunities or simply learn more about Nub News, there is no need to make an appointment – just pop in to meet Francesca.

Alternatively, you can call her on 07180 221 420 or email [email protected]
