Man hit by train at Axminster taken to hospital

A man was taken to hospital with "life-changing" injuries after being struck by a train near Axminster railway station on Tuesday (27 December).
Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Axminster station at 3.11pm yesterday (27 December) to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and a man was taken to a local hospital. His injuries are deemed life-changing but not life-threatening.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious."
Trains were disrupted until around 8pm on the line.
