Latest figures show 60 crimes reported in Axminster in September

Latest police figures have reported that there were 60 recorded crimes in the Axminster area in September 2021.

These figures are an increase from 47 crimes the previous month and 51 reported during the same month the previous year.

From the 60 recorded incidents in September 2021, 44 took place in Axminster Town and 16 in Axminster Rural, which also covers Uplyme, Kilmington, Hawkchurch, Dalwood, Stockland, Chardstock and surrounding areas.

In Axminster Town, crimes included 16 incidents of violence and sexual offences, nine of anti-social behaviour, six of criminal damage and arson, and 13 listed as 'other crime'.

In Axminster Rural, crimes included nine incidents of violence and sexual offences, three of anti-social behaviour, two burglaries and two listed as 'other crime'.

Crime figures for October 2021 have not yet been released.
