The latest crime figures in Axminster

Latest police figures have reported that there were 58 recorded crimes in the Axminster area in April 2022.

These figures are a increase from 51 crimes the previous month (March 2022) and 44 reported during the same month the previous year (April 2021).

From the 58 recorded incidents in April 2022, 38 took place in Axminster Town and 20 in Axminster Rural, which also covers Uplyme, Kilmington, Hawkchurch, Dalwood, Stockland, Chardstock and surrounding areas.

In Axminster Town, crimes included 13 of anti-social behaviour, 12 of violence and sexual offences, four burglaries, and nine listed as 'other crimes'.

In Axminster Rural, crimes included 13 incidents of violence and sexual offences, three of anti-social behaviour, two vehicle crimes, and two listed as 'other crimes'.

Crime figures for May 2022 have not yet been released.
