Assistant Management Accountant

Axminster, Devon

Salary £28,000 - £30,000

Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:30)

I am pleased to be working with a great company in Axminster, who are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their busy team.

This opportunity would involve working closely with the Finance Controller in producing the monthly management accounts, while also leading and supporting other members of the accounts team when required.

While this isn't a management role, it will include leading by example and may require some occasional supervisory tasks. While the experience is important, we are equally interested in people with the right personality, wanting someone personable, proactive and supportive to the team around them.

Tasks will include:

- Producing month-end processes, such as accruals and prepayments

- Maintain ledgers and control accounts accurately, while identifying and correcting errors

- Nominal analysis

- Management of the Fixed-Asset register

- Overseeing Accounts Payable and Receivable teams, while providing support and cover to them where needed

Experience and skills required:

- Experience of preparing management accounts

- Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

- An analytical approach with good problem solving skills

- A strong team player who is happy to support the team around them
