The owners of the Ridgeway County Hotel at Smallridge, one of the Axminster area's most popular eating out venues, say that are "super excited" about reopening on Saturday, July 4th.
The former public house is run by Carole and Kevin Baulch who have put a lot of new measures in place to ensure social distancing and government instruction are strictly adhered to ensure customers and staff are kept safe.
They told Axminster Nub News: "We have lots of new measures in place to protect our customers, all customers whether eating or just popping in for a drink.
"Customers need to reserve a table with contact details. We will introduce one-way in and one-way out avoid pinch points. We have plenty of space so are allowing lots of space between tables inside and out.
"There will be a blackboard instead of physical menus and a service table between ourselves and the customers' tables.
"A one-in one-out toilet system will be in operation. We are starting with a slightly reduced menu and all condiments will be single serve disposable.
"Customers will be encouraged to stay seated in line we government guidelines.
"We will also be offering accommodation, with a simplified check-in and room service.
"We are super excited to be reopening."
