Axminster street market will be open for business tomorrow (Thursday) despite the new COVID-19 regulations which include non-essential shops having to close.

The Lord of the Manor, Jim Rowe, who owns the market rights, has confirmed that the market in Trinity Square will be open for food takeaway stalls with full social distancing being observed.

Mr Rowe asked Axminster Nub News to get the message out that Axminster street market will be trading.

He said: "All the stalls that sell takeaway food items will be at the market and be allowed to trade. We will be COVID-19 secure, observing all the necessary social distancing regulations as we did during the last lockdown."

Traders who support Axminster Market are able to take advantage of the Nub News free local business listings service - simply visit the Local List page and click the black 'Nib It' button to add your business details.
