Axminster Repair Cafe will be back in the Guildhall this weekend

Axminster Repair Café's highly-skilled group of enthusiastic volunteer repairers will be back in the Guildhall this Saturday, April 1.

Handling a variety of items between 10am and 1pm the team aim to successfully repair as many items as possible, and really enjoy making that happen.

Word has spread, and more and more people in the Axminster area now visit this popular monthly repair service, bringing along a variety of personal and household items to see if they can be made usable again - rather than just be thrown away.

Frequently seen by the team for possible repair are china and glass ornaments, household goods, domestic indoor and outdoor electrical products, light gardening equipment including tools for sharpening, clothing and fabrics for skilled sewing repairs, children's toys as well as some unusual items, occasionally defying description.

While they're waiting to see a repairer, or for their items to be dealt with, clients are welcome to treat themselves to a choice of hot or cold drinks, homemade cakes and pastries, biscuits and bacon rolls provided by the Guildhall volunteers.

Please note that, due to the upcoming coronation of King Charles III, and the Guildhall's pre-existing bookings, the May Repair Café session is cancelled so the next session will be Saturday, June 3.
