Lions Club supports Plastic Free Axminster with new equipment

Axminster & District Lions Club have supported Plastic Free Axminster with a donation of new equipment for its regular communiyt litter picks.

The Lions donated new litter pickers and hi-vis vests for children, helping to keep safe litter pickers of all ages. The club also donated a new publicity banner to help raise awareness of the environmental group.

Plastic Free Axminster's next community litter pick will be held on Saturday, November 19, meeting at The Old Courthouse in Church Street at 9.15am.

Those wanting to take part should wear old clothes and suitable footwear. Equipment is provided and refreshments afterwards at The Community Waffle House.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
