Axminster Care Service received a donation of £462 from the Dalwood Fair Committee, following their successful summer event.

The cheque was presented to Axminster Care Service vice-chair Mervyn Symes on Sunday evening after the Dalwood Fair volunteers' supper and annual general meeting at the local village hall.

Mr Symes was invited to give an overview of the charity to the gathering and spoke of his "passion for the charity, when seeing funds raised go toward supporting those less fortunate within our community".

Mr Symes went on to say: "If anyone knows of anyone in need of our support please get them to contact us, if we can help them we will."

Axminster Care Service is a charity helping people registered with, or in the area of Axminster Medical Practice, receive the care they need. For more details visit axminstercareservice.co.uk
