Axminster Care Service volunteers enjoy Christmas party

Axminster Care Service trustees treated their volunteers to a festive three course meal on Friday, with party hats and Christmas poppers at the ready.

The annual Christmas party is given to say thank you to all the volunteers of the charity for their continued support and efforts over the course of the year.

It gave an opportunity for volunteer shop assistants, car drivers, and telephonists, a chance to mingle with each other, something which only happens at the annual party. It also provides new volunteers an opportunity to meet others who have been with the charity for some years.

With difficult times ahead for many over the winter period, Axminster Care Service is bracing itself for an increase in funding petitions to support vulnerable families within the local area.

For those in need of support, contact the charity's secretary by emailing [email protected], or call 01297 35550 to leave a request for a call back, and you will be guided through the funding petition process.

All enquiries and requests are dealt with in complete confidence. Please, don't be afraid to reach out to ACS – if they are unable to assist you themselves they may be able to signpost you to other organisations more suitable for your situation.

Making a New Year's resolution to help others? ACS is always in need of new volunteers. Get in touch to find out what volunteering opportunities are currently available and make a difference to others in 2023.
