Terri Bowell of Axminster beauty and aesthetics clinic Total Transformations had her name in lights last week.

The clinic in Lyme Street, which also acts as a training academy, was shortlisted as a finalist for two categories in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards, including for best new salon and best in aesthetics. 

Last week Terri attended the glitzy awards ceremony, where Total Transformations was placed second for Best New Salon in the South West.

It was placed among the top 10 in the district for Best Aesthetics and also received a 'Highly Recommended' certificate.

The awards were handed out by singer and reality TV star Jake Quickenden at the red carpet event, which was also attended by Natasha Hamilton from Atomic Kitten, who signed Terri's award.

Alongside the wide variety of treatments on offer at Total Transformations, Terri offers IPHM accredited courses in beauty and aesthetics after receiving her teaching qualifications. 

Courses are available on a one-to-one basis and some online, with Terri saying this is a great opportunity for those living locally who are keen to get into the beauty industry and would have previously had to travel miles for training.
