The family of Adam Bounds, the Axminster-born man who died suddenly this week, aged 41, after suffering a brain haemorrhage, have been overwhelmed by the messages of condolence they have received.

Adam's father, Les Bounds, said they had received hundreds of messages with many more on social media, and he thanked all those for their kindness.

Adam's funeral service will be held at the Minster Church in Axminster at 11am on Friday, June 18. Social distancing regulations will be observed in church but arrangements will be made for mourners to stand outside.

Following the service, cremation will be held for family members at the East Devon Crematorium at Whimple with family flowers only.

Donations will go to the RNLI in Lyme Regis as Lifeboat Week was one of Adam's favourite events.

His father commented: "Adam loved that week catching up with his school friends and the many friends he had in Lyme, Axminster and surrounding area."

Those who wish to pay their last respects to Adam are invited to the wake at Axminster Town Football Club where COVID restrictions will also be strictly observed.
