UNTIL Saturday 1st April
Just a reminder that the Axminster Repair Café's popular repair service is back again this weekend Saturday, April 1st from 10am to 1pm in Axminster's Guildhall. Word has spread, and more and more people in the Axminster area are bringing in items for possible repair by the Café's multi-skilled team of volunteers. The team get a lot of pleasure from successfully repairing people's possessions that otherwise might just be thrown away.
The repairers are used to handling a wide-variety of damaged, or non-working, domestic indoor and outdoor electrical products, light gardening equipment, tools for sharpening, clothing and fabrics for skilled sewing repairs, every-day household items children's toys, china and glass ornaments as well as some quite unusual objects.
. . . and, while waiting to see a repairer, or for their items to be dealt with, clients, are very welcome to treat themselves to a choice of hot or cold drinks, home-made cakes and pastries, biscuits, or even hot bacon rolls, provided by the Guildhall's friendly 'Canteen Treats' volunteers. Casual visitors are welcome too. We hope to see you soon.
* Please note that, due to the upcoming Coronation of King Charles III, and the Guildhall's pre-existing bookings, the May Repair Café session is cancelled so the next session will be Saturday 3rd of June.
