Colyton slipped out of second position in the Devon and Exeter Premier division after losing 3-1 at home to fourth placed Kentisbeare.
The defeat allowed old adversaries Lyme Regis to move into the runners-up slot, having beaten Sandford 1sts. The Dorset side lead the Tanners by just one opinion the chase to catch leaders Alphington but the Seasiders have twosomes in hand.
There was little between Colyton and Kentisbeare in the first half, the sides going in at 1-1, the home goal coming from Johndrick Gangoso, but the visitors added two goals after the break to win the points.
Man-of-the-match for Colyton went to Frederick Bennett.
This coming Saturday Colyton are away to Exeter University 2nds who sit in sixth place in the table.
