Axminster Town Under 13s 7, Crewkerne Town Under 13s 0

The first game of 2022 for the young Tigers was the only one played in the league after some heavy rain during the week drenched the pitches .

On this wet but playable pitch Axe started on the front foot determined to make up for their last game which ended in defeat.

Alex Dixon opened the scoring with a well taken low drive after breaking through from midfield. This was soon followed up with the lively Fin Jenkin popping up to finish of a great cross from Flynn Hartford to make it 2-0 at half time.

With more emphasis on passing and team play going into the second half, Tigers again dominated possession and found some more killer passes and finishes.

With Flynn Hartford getting his hat-trick and Theo Dibling finding the net twice, one of them a cracking header from Finn Lampey's superb left wing cross.

Man of-the-match went to Flynn Hartford for three goals and two assists.

Credit to the Tigers' defence of George Manning, Ollie Gabb, Ruben Baulch, Isaac Poole And keeper Cian Murdy who didn't have lots to do but made two amazing saves to get the clean sheet to take the Tigers back on the top of the league

Next week the Under 13s are home to second placed East Coker at Tiger Way (2 pm kick-off).
