Axminster Town Under 13s 2, Pen Mill Under 13s 1

With the Tigers back down into second place in the league, they needed to win to keep the pressure on the leaders Ilminster Youth going into the final few games of the season.

Tigers started sharply and hit the post on three separate occasions before finally breaking the deadlock just before half time with Finn Lampey lobbing the keeper from outside the box straight into the top corner.

Going into the second half, the Tigers started to tire from playing a game the day before but managed to get the second goal after Finn Lampey's excellent corner dropped to Theo Dibling to head home from five yards out.

Pen Mill were then awarded a penalty after Alex Dixon went to clear the ball but accidentally caught the players legs to make it 2-1. Axe held on to secure the win but stay in second place with one league game remaining. Man-of-the-match went to the impressive Finn Lampey for scoring two excellent goals.
