AXMINSTER Football Club has appointed of a manager for their reformed Reserve team.
The Tigers did not run a second X1 last season but are planning to enter a side in the Devon & Exeter League in the 2020-21 campaign.
It was revealed on social media that Dan Prettejohn had been appointed as the new second team manager.
Dan joins Axminster from Upottery where he spent nine successful seasons there as first team manager.
There is no indication at the moment which division in the Devon & Exeter League t Axminster Reserves will compete in. Before they withdrew their second string they were playing in Division Two.
The Tigers first team, managed by Josh Stunnell, play in the Peninsular South West Premier division, the highest level in the club's long history.
Meanwhile, Axminster-based Nick Tregale, regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in then area during his playing days, has been appointed manager of the Reserves at Lyme Regis Football Club.
Tregale, 58, spent three spells with the Seasiders and is highly in high esteem in the club. He will be assisted by former Lyme defender Darren Stewart.
Tregale played for a number of local clubs, including Millwey Rise where he helped set up the club's youth set-up.
He also managed Lyme's women's team, Lyme Lazers. His daughter Jade is a qualified football coach.
