Axminster Town continued their impressive start to the season with a 4-0 thumping of Crediton United in the South West Peninsular Premier Division East on Saturday.
The victory keeps the Tigers very much among the Premier front runners with just four points separating the top six sides.
Speedy winger Charlie Wilson opened the scoring for the Tigers following an incisive pass from Reece McCable and their lead was doubled before half-time when Wilson took full advantage of another great ball from the busy Richard Hebditch.
Hebditch, who was named as a man-of-the-match, got on the scoresheet himself after the break before Wilson completed a brilliant hat-trick with an audacious lob.
Axminster face their sternest challenge of the season this coming Saturday when they welcome Premier East leaders Brixham to Tiger Way in the first round of the FA Vase.
Axminster Reserves went down 3-2 on Saturday at Okehampton Aryle 2nds, a defeat which leaves them in fifth place in the Devon and Exeter Premier division, with seven points from five games.
The Reserves' next league game is on Friday, October 8 at home to Sidmouth Town 2nds (kick-off 7.30pm).
