HT Dons 3, Seaton 2nds 3
Seaton 2nds were away to HT Dons playing at Starcross in abysmal weather with heavy rain and strong winds,.
The game started fairly evenly, a younger Seaton side against the more experienced HT Dons team who scored first through a Seaton defensive error.
Towards the end of the first half Seaton were awarded a penalty given for hand ball and up-stepped Seaton captain Adzy Whitehouse who calmly slotted home the spot kit to end the first half at 1-1.
In the second half the pitch started to deteriorate quickly, becoming a quagmire towards the end.
Seaton scored two great brea-away goals both scored by Chris Wellman.
HT Dons scored a lucky goal direct from a corner, the ball bending straight into the top far corner of the goal which was undefendable and unsaveable and they levelled the score with with five minutes remaining. Both teams were frantic trying to score the winner but the game finished 3-3.
This earned Seaton 2nds a valuable point which took them to the top of the Devon & Exeter League Division 4 East. With 5 games played, they remain unbeaten so far this season.
This Saturday (October 31st) Seaton 2nds are away to Dawlish United 3rds who are. in third place in the table.
