Football returns to Tiger Way tomorrow when Axminster Reserves resume their Devon and Exeter League Division 2 East campaign.
The Tigers second string go into the fixture topping the table with a three-point advantage over second placed Ottery St Mary. Their opponents, Feniton 2nds, will be no push over, however, sitting in third place but with only two wins and three draws out of their six fixtures, this is a game which Dan Prettejohn's team will expect to win.
Axminster 1st team are without a fixture and will have to wait until Saturday, December 12th to continue their season when they are home to Crediton United.
The Tigers have only won two out of their ten fixtures so far this season and are sitting precariously at the foot of the table ahead of Stoke Gabriel who have shipped 187 goals in 15 games.
But Josh Stunnell's young side have shown plenty of promise and have games in hand over the teams above them. Crediton are not having the best of seasons, having lost six of their 11 games, and the Axminster boss will see this fixture as a chance to kick-start their campaign.
In the Devon & Exeter League Premier East, the most tasty fixture will probably be table toppers Feniton's home clash against third place Kentisbeare. Feniton are currently leading the table with a six-point advantage over Colyton in second place but with a game in hand. Colyton should have no problem tomorrow dispensing with Chard Town Reserves who have yet to win a game this season.
Other fixtures of Premier East are: Whipton & Pinhoe v Seaton Town 1st; Dawlish United v Beer Albion; and Sidmouth Town v Upottery.
In Devon & Exeter Division Two East, the Axminster Reserves v Feniton encounter will attract the biggest crowd. In other games Axmouth United are home to Colyton 2nds, two sides struggling without a win to their name, and Cranbrook have home advantage over Ottery St Mary 2nds.
Millwey Rise Reserves, with two wins from four games occupy eighth place Division Four East, and will be looking for three points at HT Dons. Seaton Town 2nds, top of Division 4 East after six games, are at home to their nearest rivals, FC Falcons.
