AFTER a disappointing draw against a very physical Winsham last month, Charmouth ran out easy winners in the return fixture with a 7-0 victory to maintain their second spot in Perry Street Division Two.

It was shakey first couple of minutes but Charmouth soon sprung to life and in the fourth minute Brin Seward set up Ashley Williams to open the scoring, setting the theme of the game. The second followed just two minutes later with Ashley Williams chasing down the keeper and slotting home for 2-0.

Charmouth continued to dominate the game in windy conditions but the team kept the ball down and passed well. Their third goal saw Williams and Seward linking up again, Brin with his second assist and Ashley making his hat-trick, putting Charmouth 3-0 up after 38 minutes.

The fourth quickly followed with Seward once again assisting Williams, but it all came from great battling in the middle of the park from Adzy Whitehouse.

Charmouth continued to dominate and on 45 minutes Williams slotted home his fifth goal of the first half to send Charmouth in at half-time with a comfortable 5-0 lead.

Charmouth continued the second half the the same vein, creating chances and playing good football. It only took seven minutes into the second half for Williams to complete his double hat-trick and Seaward to grab his fourth assist after awesome link-up play from the front two.

Winsham reverted to type and as they couldn't compete with the football decided to start kicking out at every opportunity, an embarrassing display from the opposition.

Charmouth wrapped up the game 7-0 with Dave Bridges assisting Russ Oldbury to make it 7-0 - a comprehensive, well deserved  victory. Every player put their all into the game performing well, but with a double hat-trick Williams got a well deserved man-of-the-match.
