In the first local derby of the season, Colyton emerged 3-2 winners in a feisty Devon & Exeter League Premier East encounter at Seaton Town.

It was a typical competitive meeting between the two neighbours with no quarter given and yellow cards being handed out to Seaton's Lewis Cottam and David Goodhew.

The Colyton goals came from Johndrick Gangoso, Jack Richards and Callum Somers.

Reece Vest-Edward and Lewis Cottam got the Colyton goals.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Colyton entertain Sidmouth Town 2nds while Seaton Town are away to Dawlish United.

Otterton 2nds 1, Seaton Town 2nds 2

Seaton were back in action again after their tremendous 5-0 victory against Sidmouth Town 4ths last weekend, hoping to continue their winning ways away at Otterton in the Devon & Exeter Division 4 East.

The game was well contested early on with both teams having a shared portion of possession.

The first goal came from Otterton, after a mix-up in the box among the Seaton defenders and a scrappy finish.

After going 1-0 down, the Seaton second string piled on the pressure with chance after chance but couldn't find the back of the net.

Otterton went into half-time 1-0 up after managing to hold off Seaton's bombardment of attacks.

Seaton went out for the second half hungry for points. Charlie Clarke managed to equalise with a fine header from just outside the six-yard box, out-jumping the Otterton centre back.

With only 10 minutes left to play Otterton were awarded a penalty. The striker stepped up to take it calm and collected but somehow managed to send the ball over into the field behind clearing the crossbar by eight feet.

Then stepped up Jake Rostrum, Seaton's impact sub. With the minutes ticking away Rustrum found himself running onto the ball, shrugging off all defenders that stood in his way, and smashed it home, giving Seaton a 2-1 victory.

Man-of-the match was the consistent Jack White who is very often in contention for the accolade every game.

The victory leaves Seaton 2nds in second place in the division, on equal points with HT Dons and the two teams meet at Seaton tomorrow (Saturday).
