Pen Mill Under12s 1, Axminster Town Under 12s 6

Travelling away to bottom of the league Pen Mill, the Tigers didn't expect to much of a challenge. That really wasn't the case and both teams started fast, end-to-end attacks followed with George Manning in goal again keeping them at bay in his keeper-sweeper role.

Axe eventually broke down their defence, not before hitting the woodwork numerous of times, but finally a loverly finish by Isaac Poole at the far post put the Tigers ahead. Isaac then netted a second again with a cool composed finish. Then against the run of play Axminster conceded from a corner, a powerful header flew past a helpless Manning to make 2-1.

The Tigers ramped up the pressure and scored with the move of the game, five or 6 slick passes from back to front put in Theo Dibling who slammed it into the bottom corner. Just before half time we added a 4th through the lively Flynn Hartford who pouched on a good save from the keeper to tap it in with his quick reactions. H/T

All four subs came on at half-time and Axminster continued to press forward scoring a further two goals, one a great cross from Flynn Hartford to Theo Dibling which gave him the chance to round the keep and get his second of the game. The last goal was scored by first half keep George Manning who cut inside from the left to curl one into the corner.

Man-of-the-match was again very tight call but went to the ever reliable defensive midfielder Ruben Baluch for his tireless tackling all over the park. Isaac pool played superb as again did Ollie Gabb, but the whole team performed well.

Team: George Manning (GK), Ollie Gabb, Jake McManus, Theo Hewlet, Ruben Baulch, Issac Poole, Fin Lampey, Flynn Hartford (c), Theo Dibling. Subs:

Ligy Al-Sedani (GK), Edd Sherman, Will Greenwood, Alex Graves.
