Axminster Town's pre-season form has continued to impress new manager Dan Prettejohn wit a comfortable 3-1 win over former rivals Lyme Regis and a 2-1win at Chard Town this week with Charlie Wilson and Ryan Adnrews on target for the Tigers. This coming Saturday they travel to Budleigh Salterton.

The Tigers' goals in the game against Lyme came from Charlie Wilson, Marcus Fanson (penalty) and Jamie Girton.

Meanwhile, Prettejohn has been busy strengthening his side by making four signings - Aaron Daniels, who played for Axminster before going to university; Tom Olive, a player the manager has tried to sign on previous occasions; former Bridport and Ilminster Town defender Louis Retter; and midfielder Shane Fyles.

Axminster's season in the South Peninsular League Premier East Division starts on Saturday, August against Newton Abbot Spurs, sponsored by Nub News Sport.
