AXMINSTER: Fun for all the family at Football Club open day

Axminster Town supporters turned out in force on Saturday to support a family fun day at Tiger Way in another successful fundraising event.
The day started with training sessions for the Wildcats toddlers and youthmsection members up to the Under 15s.
The Axminster coaches were on hand and to distribute talent spotted cards to youth players they would like to invite to join the Tigers' set-up.
A barbeque manned by club chairman Andy Hurford did a roaring trade and the front car park was full of local trade stalls.
Other attractions included a bouncing castle, a disco and children's entertainment with an all-day bar also in operation.
A spokesperson for the club said: "There was a brilliant atmosphere at the club and we are hoping to have made a significant amount to help meet our running costs as the new season approaches. Spirits are running very high at Tiger Way."
New first team manager Dan Prettejohn gave his support throughout the day assisting where possible.
On Sunday the club also organised a successful 6-a-side knock-out competition for both men's and ladies' teams.
In the latest pre-season friendly Axminster took on a strong and well organised Willand Rovers, winning 2-1 with goals from Jamie Girton and Charlie Wilson.
Other fundraising activities at Tiger Way this summer include a summer fiesta on starting at 11 am on Saturday, July 24 with live music, a hog roast, cider tent and trade stands.
