Axminster Town Under 12s have won a place in the final of the High Holborne Cup, to be staged at Huish Park, home of Yeovil Town, on Wednesday, May 19th.

In the semi-final today Sunday), the youngsters produced a superb battling display against strong opposition.

Playing with the wind, the Togers pressed hard, not allowing East Coker time on the ball, and created a few half chances.

The winning goal came from the quick press with Flynn H latching onto a pass beating his man and rifling the ball into the net to the delighted home supporters.

The second half was a different game and Axe had to soak up a lot of pressure, but they always looked dangerous on the counter attack with substitute Edd S using his raw pace and forcing the away keeper into a couple of good saves.

Deep into injury time. Theo D cleared off the line with his head before the whistle went to book a place into the final at Yeovil Town's ground.

No individual man-of-the-match award as this was a fantastic team effort.
