Uplyme victory over local brewery in low-scoring friendly

UPLYME and Lyme Regis featured in a low-scoring game against Palmers Brewery from Bridport at the King George V playing field last evening.

Palmers restricted Uplyme to a low total of 103 all out with top scores coming from Charlie Moss (20), Joel Seward (32) and Tyler Wellman (23).

Best bowlers for Palmers were F. Etherington who finished with figures of 5-15 and W. Frost (2-10.

Uplyme fielded superbly with Matt James, Jacob Maltby and Dan Thomas excelling and Palmers were bowled out for 81 with Ben Whittington and I. Hutchings top scoring on 18 apiece.

Matt James (3-23) and Joel Seward (3-13) returned the best bowling figures for Uplyme.

The game was sponsored by Dr Varghese Skin Care & Surgery Ltd with clinics in Dorchester, Yeovil and Taunton.
